This collection, developed during my second year at Istituto Marangoni, draws inspiration from the evocative works of artist Anselm Kiefer and the subtle, muted color palette of Giorgio Morandi. Kiefer’s masterful use of texture and materials guided the collection’s exploration of contrasts and layered narratives, while Morandi’s serene and contemplative hues influenced the soft yet powerful color scheme. Blending elements of vintage 1940s womenswear with utilitarian workwear, the designs reflect a dialogue between elegance and ruggedness, art and functionality. This project also marked my first venture into accessories, adding another dimension to the collection with pieces that complement the clothing’s textured, art-inspired aesthetic. The result is a fusion of art and fashion, where each garment tells a story of resilience, history, and creativity.
